Position: Senior Industrial EngineerLocation: Warren, MI (with travel to Ft Wayne, IN)Duration: 1 year contact to potential hireCompensation: $45-$58hrExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave andor other paid time off as provided by applicable law.Must Haves:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field10+ years of experience working within industrial engineering in an automotive manufacturing environmentStrong experience with performing plant floor layouts through AutoCADStrong experience conducting time and motion studiestime studies + STDSKnowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and material flow principlesProven ability to support and coordinate with plant Industrial Engineering teamsPlusses:Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related fieldExperience with GMOS andor time and motion studies related to material flow optimizationFamiliarity with automation principles and technologiesPrevious exposure to large-scale material optimization projectsStrong project management skillsD2D: Insight Global is looking for a Senior Industrial Engineer at a large automotive customer. The Senior Industrial Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the manufacturing team to optimize our production processes, ensure product quality, and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have experience within the automotive industry, experience with industrial engineering, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and can adapt quickly to changing conditions.Job Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Optimization team in developing business cases for material optimization projectsStudy and validate material routes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvementsReview time savings for automation projects and ensure alignment with project goalsWork closely with the planning team to integrate material optimization strategies into overall production plansCollaborate with plant Industrial Engineering teams to gather insights and ensure effective implementation of optimization initiativesSupport execution teams by providing industrial engineering expertise and addressing challenges during project implementationContribute to the overall strategy for material optimization across all plantsKnowledgeexperience with GM's Standard Time DatabaseKnowledgeexperience with Standardized Work and APS (GM's Job Instruction Database)Knowledgeexperience with APS Ergonomic Assessment Tool
