This unique company remains one of the few that develops and manufactures each product in a state-of-the-art, 100% solar-powered, eco-friendly, award-winning facility.Position SummaryThe Production Engineering Manager will lead the engineering team in supporting and optimizing production processes in ProCaps' manufacturing environments. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production engineering, from manufacturing line design and installation to process improvements and equipment maintenance to meeting quality assurance and compliance requirements. The manager will collaborate closely with the production, facilities, production maintenance, and product development teams to ensure that manufacturing operations are efficient, cost-effective, and meet regulatory standards.What You Bring (minimum Job Qualifications And Requirements)Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or similar). Master's degree preferred.7-10 years of experience in production or manufacturing engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.Experience in automation and process control systems.Familiarity with ERP systems, production scheduling software, and engineering design tools.Professional Engineer (PE) certification or relevant engineering certifications are preferred.Experience in vitamin, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical manufacturing is highly preferred.Deep knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and quality systems related to food or drug manufacturing.Strong problem-solving skills and experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.Proven project management experience, particularly with capital projects and new production line implementation.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.What You'll Do (essential Job Duties And Responsibilities)Process Optimization & Efficiency:Lead initiatives to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output without compromising quality.Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for automation, lean manufacturing, and other continuous improvement strategies.Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production and engineering activities to ensure consistency and high standards.Equipment & Technology ManagementOversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop preventative maintenance schedules for equipment.Lead the evaluation, procurement, and implementation of new equipment or technology to improve production capabilities.Project ManagementManage capital projects, including facility upgrades, equipment installations, and new production lines, ensuring timely completion within budget.Coordinate with external vendors and contractors on design, construction, and installation projects.Quality Assurance & ComplianceWork closely with the quality control team to ensure all production processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA, and other industry regulations.Implement corrective actions for any identified production issues or quality deviations. Lead root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate defects and ensure product quality.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead and mentor a team of production engineers, guiding process improvements and technical problem-solving. Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and create development plans for engineering staff. Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, encouraging cross-functional teamwork.Production SupportServe as the engineering liaison between production, R&D, and quality teams to ensure alignment on production goals. Provide real-time support to the production team during troubleshooting or process deviations.
