Job Title: Senior Estimator - HealthcareLocation: Rochester, MNIndustry: ConstructionDepartment: EstimatingPay: $180-225k plus bonus and car allowance*full relocation provided*OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator (Healthcare) who can be based in the Greater Midwest Rochester, MN area. This position will require up to 40% travel working a hybrid schedule tofrom the Rochester, MN office. The Senior Estimator has responsibility for administration and execution of estimating activities for $400M+ healthcare projects.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for keeping team informed of activities, progress, and problems as it pertains to Estimating activitiesEstablish Customer Satisfaction goals for EstimatingLeads in developing accurate pricing for design-phase or GMP estimatesMaintains appropriate industry contacts to insure best and final information on market pricing and trendsIdentify and resolve problems under conditions of incomplete information and uncertaintySchedules department estimating and deliverables and balances workload accordinglyManages the department to assure multiple duties and responsibilities are executed by all staff membersCommunicates with operations staff in planning work schedulesExtensive experience in conceptual healthcare estimatingExperience estimating on Integrated Project Delivery and or Integrated Form of Delivery projectsSignificant experience utilizing Target Value Design: establishing conceptual estimates based on programming and blocking and stacking diagrams, developing component costs to guide the design within the parameters of the Allowable costIn depth knowledge of healthcare programmatic costPossess the business acumen to understand contractual instruments of serviceAbility to work entirely independently or collaboratively with a team during Programming, Validation, and Target Value Design Preconstruction to develop Cost Model EstimateAbility to create cost model and track of variances during scope developmentBased on project experience, ability to define expected project scope, i.e., wall locations, casework, medical equipment, doors, glazing assemblies, MEP layout, etc. to develop baseline scope from programmatic and concept design informationKnowledge of Destini Estimator softwareVisualize, analyze, and communicate project scope of workCoordinate costmeans and methods with Client and design team and prepare preliminary cost estimatesbudgetsActively participate in Last Planner Pull Planning sessions to add and manage tasks, milestones and commitmentsWork with Design Team and Trade Partners to reconcile cost estimatesManage Risk & Opportunity ProcessPrepare General ConditionsSite Services CostsDelivers and presents estimates to clientsAbility to preservereconcile all aspects of the estimate presentation while in front of a groupwith clientKnowledge of suitable contractors and suppliers for all types of projectsFamiliar with both union and merit shop contractorsFamiliar with the use of On-Screen Take-off software program (Destini Estimator)EXPERIENCEEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar technical specialty preferred but not a hardline requirement (combination of education plus experience will be considered)10-15 years of relevant experience estimating Healthcare projects in excess of $300 million dollars ($300-500M projects ideal)Proficient with Destini Estimator software a plus**Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer, regardless of authorization or visa transfer **Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check to be eligible for hire
