Job Title: Temporary to Permanent ParalegalLocation: Jamaica, NYPay: $33 - $35 per hour; $65,000 - $75,000 upon permanent hireSchedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Onsite for initial period, hybrid after probation)Our client is looking for an experienced Paralegal to join their in-house legal team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in labor and employment law who is ready to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:Draft, edit, and proofread collective bargaining agreements in preparation for negotiations.Conduct legal research as directed and stay updated on new laws and regulations to ensure compliance.Draft and modify correspondence on behalf of various departments.File arbitrations, charges, and petitions accurately and timely.Manage cases and follow up as necessary.Assist with other departmental tasks and special projects as assigned.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in Paralegal Studies.Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, with at least 3 years in labor and employment law.Proficiency in drafting contracts and legal correspondence.Strong research skills, including experience with LexisNexis and similar databases.Knowledge of labor unions and related laws and regulations.Professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong time-management abilities, with flexibility to work outside regular hours when needed.
