Investment Banking Analyst

We are looking for candidates for an investment banking analyst role to join us in our Los Angeles office. The new hire will be involved in all facets of Salem Partners' investment banking business, and will play a prominent role in the execution of sell side advisory and capital raising assignments, including participation in client meetings, financial analysis, negotiation discussion and other critical points of the deal process. In addition, the new hire will work directly with senior bankers and will be expected to eventually lead deal teams. This role offers ample opportunity to take on significant responsibility beyond typical junior banker duties as well as excellent exposure to top level industry executives, private equity firms, hedge funds and venture capital sources.  This role is ideally suited to a motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn. Specific responsibilities of the job include financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, preparation of information memoranda and other marketing materials and managing the capital raising and M&A transaction process.Candidates do not need investment banking experience. Industry expertise is not required, but experience in media and entertainment, real estate, healthcarespecialty pharma is a plus.
