SummaryObjectiveWe have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Event Coordinator. The Event Coordinator will work closely with Senior Event Coordinators as well as the corporate marketing and sales teams to plan support, execute, and sometimes attend regional tradeshows as a sales facing employee. Other responsibilities could include managing corporate meetings, lunch & learns, andor special events. Qualified candidates must be highly detail organized, able to juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time, and be able to quickly recognize, analyze, and solve problems.Essential Functions ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all logistics for regional tradeshows including registration and communication with conference contacts, payment, making hotel accommodations, handling shipping of event materials, communicating with staff, and working with sales operations for conclusion.Travel is involved (up to 50%). On-site responsibilities include booth set up and breakdown, shipping and handling, managing leads, and assisting sales as needed.Other activities could include searching for venues and vendors, negotiating contracts, handling food and beverage, meeting room set up, etc.Maintain event calendar by working with marketing sales teams for scheduling.Support Senior Event Coordinators and corporate marketing team as necessary with administrative tasks as assigned.Qualifications1-2 years of corporate event planning experienceMust have tradeshow experience - setting up booths and taking them downAbility to quickly recognize, analyze, and solve problemsShows initiative and follow-through skillsAbility to prioritize and multi-task to meet tight deadlinesEasily adapt to ever-changing circumstancesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPersonable and able to hold engaging conversations with prospectsSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. See example below.Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, English, public relations, or journalismExperience using email marketing automation tools (Pardot preferred)Excellent writing and editing skills - skills including graphic design is preferredStrong planning, organizational and presentation abilitiesAbility to work well multi-functionally across key communication teamsA foundational understanding of effective marketing techniquesExperience with sales-based emails and customer communicationAbility to think creatively and innovatively and easily adapt to changeWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.Position TypeExpected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
