For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $164,000 - $246,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric has a meaningful opportunity for a Finance IT & Process Specialist preferably at one of our HUB locations in Dallas, TX, Nashville, TN, Boston/Andover/Foxboro MA, Chicago, IL, Raleigh, NC in a hybrid role (2 days on-site per week) or at other non-HUB locations, which also may be considered. Position Summary The Specialist, SPD Finance, IT & Process is an essential part of the SPD Finance team responsible for identifying, designing and improving Finance business process activities with consideration of internal control configuration and user responsibility management (SOD) You will work closely with the BU/Division/Operations/Central Function Finance teams to develop, improve and document business processes, business and functional requirements that support programs and projects driven by the Corporate/BU/Division Finance organizations and will focus mainly on the areas within Finance (i.e. Accounting & Consolidations, Reporting, Projects, Services Accounting, Inventory Costing, A/R, A/P, etc.) This position will also be actively involved in the design and deployment of systems, applications, and tools integral to the effectiveness and efficiency of SE's and SPD's Finance tools and processes. By collaborating with finance colleagues, IT staff and process teams to identify user requirements, assess and recommend application solutions, he/she will share responsibility with other team members to ensure on-time application delivery, which requires a clear understanding of business requirements, expectations and capabilities This position will require the ability to act effectively as a team member by working closely with identified key individuals in the business group, as well as perform other duties as needed. Roles & Responsibilities Design and deploy process improvements, systems, applications, tools supporting global Finance sub-processes as well as related transactional flows Work closely with sub-process owners to effectively design, implement and maintain key data structures and data flows Provide knowledge/input for technical accounting issues Global Subject-matter expert for key financial processes and flows Work with Corporate and Regional finance teams on technical accounting matters Troubleshoot and resolve business process & application configuration issues in the responsible sub-process areas Recommend and, if necessary, coordinate cross-functional (and multi-system) process improvement Support Group-led finance transformation initiatives SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, development and delivery of user training and related documentation, as required Perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as the business demands change; manage transition effectively from task to task Advanced user of ERP Software (i.e. Oracle, SAP etc), Reporting software (i.e. Hyperion, Essbase, OBIEE, IntelDS, Tableau) and Microsoft office tools Solid understanding of core E2E business processes and internal controls We know skills and competencies show up in many different ways and can be based on your life experience.
