Duties include but are not limited to any other related duties as assigned * Safely transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher * Assists with transport of admissions, discharges and transfer of patients * Transport of specimens, mail, medical records, and equipment as needed * Considers patient's safety at all times * Reports unsafe conditions andor incidents as they occur * Reports any untoward or unusual occurrences to nurse * Reports faulty equipment immediately and in accordance with Hospital Policy * Transport patient body to the morgue * Purposeful Encounters (if patient is asking for something, call the HUC by using the patient's land line phone; let shehe know what the patient needs are) * Cleans transport equipment between each patient use Minimum Education Requirements: High school Diploma or GED Minimum Work Experience: 6 months of experience in a hospital, long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred.
