Read Location: Iselin, NJ Division: DSV Air & Sea US Job Posting Title: Manager, Benefits & Wellness, Benefits & Wellness Time Type: Full Time Summary The Manager, Benefits & Wellness position will be a member of the US Shared Services North America Payroll & Benefits team. In this role, you'll bring extensive benefits management expertise and analytical skills to develop, administer, and communicate our employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement and wellness initiatives. This position will work closely with brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure our benefits are competitive, compliant with regulations, and aligned with organizational goals. The Manager will responsible for ensuring all plans comply with regulatory, tax, and legal requirements, overseeing annual benefit plan audits, and coordinating audits by regulatory agencies. This role also includes forecasting and tracking expenses, providing management support, and handling various ad hoc projects as needed. Duties and Responsibilities Benefits Strategy and Administration Manage and administer all US employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, FSA, HSA, and Wellness programs. Partner with brokers, vendors, and consultants to ensure programs are cost-effective and competitive. Lead the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment process, ensuring effective communication with employees. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and COBRA. Benefits Communication Develop communication strategies to promote understanding and utilization of benefits programs. Prepare materials for benefits presentations, workshops, and employee education sessions. Provide guidance and counsel to employees on benefit matters, resolving complex issues and escalations. Vendor Management Manage relationships with external benefits vendors, ensuring service levels are met and exploring opportunities for new services or improvements. Conduct periodic reviews of vendor contracts, negotiating renewals or transitions as needed. Data and Reporting Analyze and monitor benefit plan costs, utilization data, and employee feedback to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on benefits strategy, costs, and performance. Compliance and Audits Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and lead benefits-related audits as necessary. Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and internal reporting purposes. Supervisory Responsibilities Manage a group of 3-5 Benefit Administrators and Specialists Additional Responsibilities Partner with Finance stakeholders to forecast and track expenses for the employee benefit plans. Considerable interaction with Human Resources, Payroll, and Finance. Recommend and implement plan and process (internal / external) improvements. Educational background / Work experience Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience At least 5 years management experience Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus in benefits Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to employee benefits and employee pay Experience with relevant HR systems, applications, and tools; metrics, data, and business intelligence tactics (SAP SuccessFactors and/or ADP WorkforceNow is a plus) Skills & Competencies Mathematical Skills Mathematical Skills - Intermediate Language skills English (reading, writing, and verbal) Computer Literacy Strong proficiency in basic MS Office applications Excel - Intermediate, prefer advanced. Other Skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision making and may involve confidential or sensitive matters Ability to build relationships and influence and advise business leaders and HR business partners on complex, sensitive or contentious issues Problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, and analytical skills Ability to communicate technical or financial information to a non-technical audience; as well as the ability to facilitate both small and large groups in a variety for forums Ability to successfully work in a matrix environment Ability to develop a positive rapport and maintain strong working relations with every level in the organization, including all internal and external customers Must be analytical and results oriented Physical Demands Work is generally sedentary, with no specific need for physical coordination or effort. May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities. Hours can be extensive as well as occasionally staggered for multi-shift access.
