POSITION SUMMARY Our Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment. The Dishwasher will also assist with kitchen prep work and cleaning duties as needed. Any member of the kitchen staff should enjoy working in a busy restaurant environment with the capacity to take and follow direction and multi-task efficiently. All position responsibilities must be performed in accordance with city, state, federal and Company policy. RESPONSIBILITIES •Ensure that all dishes are properly washed, sanitized and stocked with minimal breakage. •Operate an industrial dishwasher. •Empty and clean all trash receptacles. •Wash glassware, trays and other tools by hand when necessary. •Maintain a clean and organized dish storage area. •Ensure cooler is organized and items are easily accessible. •Provide support to the prep cooks and other kitchen staff when necessary. •Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately. •Perform opening, closing and side work ensuring that the opening and closing checklists are accurately and efficiently completed. •Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures. •Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements: EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS •High School Diploma or equivalent or other related work experience. •Current Food Handler's Card. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES •Comfortable working within a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. •Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with others. •Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. •Ability to read, write, and comprehend English. •Ability to read, interpret, and understand an extensive variety of work-related instructions and documents pertaining to Company operations, safety, finance, HR, and payroll. •Ability to use the Company's timekeeping system and point of service system. •Ability and willingness to learn and apply new work skill sets and concepts. •Working knowledge of city, state, and federal hospitality laws and regulations.
