This role entails offering specialized technical knowledge and support for utility relocation initiatives, which can range from straightforward tasks to more intricate projects. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will take the initiative to create, assess, and propose utility relocation strategies as well as modifications to existing plans and agreements. You will be responsible for the independent preparation and submission of the Utility Clearance Form D-419 via the Utility Relocation Management System (URMS). Additionally, you will offer technical support and advice to both internal staff and external organizations, including the Federal Highway Administration and utility representatives. Your responsibilities will also include conducting field inspections to formulate plans, evaluate construction materials and workmanship, and address specific issues related to utility relocations. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Utility Relocation Technician; or Two years of technical utility relocation work experience and an associate's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or in a design and drafting technology; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of technical utility relocation work experience. Other Requirements: This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
