Job Description The Position The Director, National Institutional Segment, leads a team of National Account Directors and Contract Managers, who manage the business relationships between our Company and assigned account(s) within the National Institutional segments. The incumbent is accountable to establish and maintain progressive executive relationships with targeted accounts, and to ensure broad, profitable access across the Company's product line. This position will be responsible for managing the Company's business with National Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) with a priority focus on Vizient, Premier, HPG, and Ascension). The position is also responsible for Federal Accounts, including the Veterans Administration and Department of Defense. Responsibilities In conjunction with the Business Unit Leaders, develops and implements product prioritization across all segments. Oversees the development of Account Profiles and Strategic Account Plans for priority accounts. Delivers on Forecasted Net Sales and KPIs across the portfolio. Directs the implementation of customer contracting strategies and the development of negotiation strategies in order to maximize company profitability. Works collaboratively with the Regional Account Management Teams to ensure alignment of National Account pull-through opportunities and ensure open and transparent communication across the Teams. Provides oversight and direction to organization's profitable product access strategy and shares external insights to inform brand market access strategies. Plays a key role on the MA&AM Leadership Team in managing current business while understanding the future impact of changes in the health care environment across the company. Ensures proper oversight on policy, legal, regulatory, and company compliance issues. Drives innovation and inspires Team to experiment and learn with novel customer and market strategies. Manages department within expense budget. Develops and implements Talent Management Plan. Nurtures an organizational culture consistent with the company's Cultural Values. Required Education, Experience and Skills: BA/BS. Minimum of five years of experience in Market Access and Account Management leadership role(s). Deep knowledge of the health care environment and how it impacts business across targeted Customers within the National Institutional segment. Maintains existing relationships with Senior Leadership decision-makers within priority Accounts. Ability to operate independently within Segment authority yet effectively communicate business choices with leadership and key stakeholders. Ability to develop contacting and negotiation strategies with key National Accounts. Ability to develop both Account Level and Segment level strategies. Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high performance teams. Strong people management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Negotiation experience. Strong analytic skills and business acumen. Experience and comfort working in cross-functional teams. Preferred Experience and Skills: Significant Financial Management, Sales Management, and/or Marketing experience desired. The applicable salary range for this position in the U.S. is stated below. Benefits offered in the U.S. include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation and holiday time, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
