We're hiring Behavioral Aides in the Arden Arcade area of Sacramento, CA! Placement & Retention Bonus You will be eligible to receive both a placement and retention bonus in the total gross amount of $850.00, provided that you remain actively employed with the Company and are not on a Performance Improvement Plan at the time these bonuses are to be paid. The placement bonus ($500.00) will be included in your paycheck within the first month after you are placed at a school site, and the retention bonus ($350.00) will be included in your last paycheck of the school year. Who We Are: Point Quest Pediatrics focuses on providing meaningful and functional behavioral, mental health, and speech and language services to students ages 5 to 22 years of age. Pediatrics strives to equip each student with the skills and strategies needed to successfully execute their academic program in the least restrictive environment possible. Pediatrics partners with contracting school districts to assist them in serving their students who qualify for services and assessments as outlined in the student's IEP. Purpose of the position: Under general supervision, the Behavioral Aide is responsible for working with at-risk and or children with disabilities in a school setting. Job Group Classification: Pediatrics Overtime Status: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $18.50-$21 per hour Why Should You Apply? * Competitive pay * Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits * Life, Legal & Pet Insurance * 401(k) with a company match * Vacation for full-time employees * Sick pay * Employee Assistance Program * Employee Discounts with AT&T * Team environment * Excellent growth and advancement opportunities * Potential for wage increase after the first evaluation Position Responsibilities and Duties: * Assist the teacher in implementing the students Individual Education Plans (IEP) * Able to understand and implement a BIP * Report up to 30 miles one-way to different locations within the assigned region. * Provide instructional support in content areas, as directed by the teacher * Implement the classroom or social behavior management system, including coaching students so that they can quickly return to school tasks * Intervene during crises situations, including implementation of Pro-ACT andor CPI * Help maintain the physical school environment to keep it functional, safe, and clean * Supervise students during class breaks and during lunch * Assist students with eating, using the bathroom (may include the changing of diapers), and moving from one classroom to another * Participate in, andor facilitate recreational activities of various sorts (i.e. athletic, arts, and crafts, off-campus trips, cultural awareness, etc.) * Model ABA methodologies for the purpose of demonstrating their use in increasing or decreasing targeted student behaviors * Maintain consistent awareness of the clients whereabouts to ensure safety, including directing clients to appropriate groups or areas in the community or school.
