Patient Transporter

* Demonstrates ability to safely assist with moving patients onto transport devices and to safely transport patient to designated destination. * Appropriately responds to emergency situations when transporting patients. * Properly uses and stores equipment. * Independently receives dispatch for transport assignments and obtains needed equipment for patient transport. * Completes assignments within designated timeframes and meets department productivity standards regarding the number of transports performed per shift. The Patient Transporter provides a high level of customer service and support to inpatient hospital and on campus clinic outpatient departments by performing safe and timely transport of patients andor specimens to designated destination.
