Senior Accountant

PrideStaff Financial is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Hayward, California. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction and manufacturing industry. This is a temporary position. Call or apply today! Job Duties: Report to company president and accounting / finance coordinator Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition Prepare customer billings weekly Follow up with customers that are over 45 days old Approve invoices that need to be paid Reconcile all bank statements and monthly financial reports Maintain the company bank balance and remain cognizant of outstanding checks Read and review any documentation attached to checks for approval and accuracy's sake Prepare and analyze job lot cost analysis monthly Prepare and submit payroll Prepare weekly reports: Reconciled cash bank position, Accounts receivable ,Accounts payable Coordinate with the tax division of the company and prepare any schedules required for tax returns Maintain the renewals on company insurance Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements Support month-end and year-end close process Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Enter financial data input to QuickBooks Make sure all financial statements and tables are correct and precise Manage a team of accountants and review their work Additional controller duties as necessary Skills will include: QuickBooks enterprise Excel and Word Online access and data entry to portals such as Paychecks and Bank Compensation: PrideStaff Financial provides competitive compensation, Sick Time, benefits, and 401k Location: Hayward CA Hours: 7 AM to 3 PM This is a temporary position.
