High volume processing, auditing, investigating, and problem solving are all in a day's work for a Payroll Specialist . You'll be responsible for the daily maintenance, auditing, service, and support of the payroll function for a designated segment of the employee population. You will provide support and training for employees, managers and timekeepers in the use of the time and attendance system, payroll process, payroll taxation, payroll withholding and all other payroll issues. As a Payroll Specialist, you will also collaborate with department managers, timekeepers and Human Resources staff working to ensure that all employees are paid correctly every pay day. Position: Payroll Specialist Shift: dayshift Experience: 1. Four to six years of hands-on payroll processing experience is required. 2. Knowledge of payroll practices, automated payroll processing systems and time & attendance systems is required. 3. Competency is using office software and spreadsheets is required. 4. Must be detail oriented and have excellent professional communication skills. Education: 1. Associate's degree in Business Administration/Accounting or equivalent education/work experience required. 2. Continuing education and training in payroll subject matter is highly desirable Licensures/Certifications: 1. Fundamentals of Payroll (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred, but not required.
