What you'll do We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in Carlsbad, CA! This hybrid role offers the unique blend of working collaboratively within our Carlsbad office and the flexibility of remote work. The Accounts Payable Specialist - Corporate Accounting will support a procure-to-pay function. The ideal candidate will have experience in Accounts Payable, including invoice and payment processing. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure accuracy in entry, reporting, and monitoring transactions for adherence to the company's written policy and controls. The day-to-day Process invoices with proper approval, purchase order (2-way/3-way) and verify coding. Prepare invoices for weekly payment run. Execute weekly payment run. Assist in month end process (journal entries, reclasses, reconciliations). Support the supplier onboarding and ACH enrollment process. Identify areas for improvement and implement process improvement initiatives. Provide problem and invoice resolution assistance to vendors and internal company personnel with tact and diplomacy. Prepare analyses related to Accounts Payable to support audit requirements and cross-training efforts. Develop process and desktop procedures. What you'll need 1-4 years of accounts payable experience in a large public company environment. Ability to thrive in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. Account reconciliation and journal entry/review experience. Experience working with accounting & financial reporting systems, and SOX compliance. Excellent communication skills - both written and oral. Ability to multi-task. Proficient in Excel and Outlook. What will help you on the job A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, econimics or the like is preferred. Organized and have meticulous attention to detail, superb time management, and problem-solving skills. Experience with Oracle and SAP. Ability to work independently and with others with a strong sense of urgency. Experience with implementing and maintaining automated accounts payable system. Salary range $20.91 - $35.14 / hourly At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
