Job Title: IT POS Implementation Lead Location: 80% Travel Required Pay: 90k/year Job Summary: The IT POS Implementation Lead will oversee the deployment and integration of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems across a network of restaurant locations, ensuring successful implementation and seamless operations. This role requires a deep understanding of restaurant operations and POS technology, along with strong project management skills to guide the end-to-end implementation process. The ideal candidate will bring experience from the restaurant industry, be able to troubleshoot technical challenges in real time, and be comfortable with a high level of travel to client sites. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead and manage full-cycle POS system implementation projects for multiple restaurant locations, including planning, deployment, and follow-up phases. POS Integration: Oversee POS system configuration and integration with restaurant management software, payment processors, and inventory management systems. Client Training & Support: Provide comprehensive training to restaurant staff and managers, ensuring they understand system functionality, troubleshooting steps, and operational efficiencies. Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues swiftly, both on-site and remotely, to minimize operational disruptions during and after implementation. Quality Assurance: Conduct system testing and quality checks to confirm accuracy, reliability, and performance of POS setups. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal IT, client teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with restaurant objectives. Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals for ongoing client support. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 5+ years of experience in POS system implementation, with at least 2 years in the restaurant or hospitality industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant management software; familiarity with integration, network configuration, and troubleshooting. Travel: Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time to various restaurant locations. Project Management: Strong project management and organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple implementations concurrently. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide clear guidance and support to clients and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: PMP certification or equivalent project management training. Knowledge of specific POS systems commonly used in the restaurant industry. Experience with data migration and system integration projects.
