DevOps Software Engineer PsychoGenics is a preclinical CRO with expertise in central nervous system (CNS) and orphan disorders. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented DevOps Software Engineer to enchance our drug discovery and development efforts, being responsible for managing cross-functional projects. This role will integrate pharmacology and drug discovery principles to help drive our mission of creating life-saving medicines. The successful candidate will work with software developers, platform engineers, and data scientists to develop, test, deploy, and maintain data collection and processing pipelines and analytical tools and technologies to support our preclinical research objectives. Job Responsibilities: Lead teams and manage software engineering projects to deliver tools and technologies for drug discovery and development. Design, build, and support specialized systems for machine-learning and other data analytics technologies. Improve the automation and reliability of PGI's data collection, processing, and analysis pipelines to improve efficacy and support continued business decisions. Collaborate in the maintenance and development of PGI's data collection systems, including sensor and processing modules, to improve system performance. Required Job Qualifications/Skills: Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a Software Engineering role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. Excellent programming and software design skills in Python and C/C++ (Linux and MS Windows). Industry software development experience building distributed systems, cloud computing systems, or automated data pipelines. Experience with design and development of stand-alone GUI applications. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud for data storage and analysis and containerized services. Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and an ability to deeply understand the "why" and "how" of what we are working on. Additional/Preferred Skills: Experience with Matlab, Java, CUDA, and Cython. Experience with storage and/or database systems. Experience with large codebases and software systems. Familiarity with rich sensor data (e.g., analog sensors, cameras, video encoding). Expereicne with ML and Deep Learning workflows.
