Government Relations Intern - Space & Defense

Velos is seeking part- or full-time government relations interns to join our team for the Spring semester. Interns provide support across clients to aid execution of influence campaigns furthering the client's government relations and business development objectives. Velos represents leaders in the Defense, Space & Intelligence, Homeland Security, and related industries. This position is located at our office in Crystal City (Arlington, VA). Responsibilities Conduct budget & legislative research Attend and summarize congressional hearings & industry events Monitor & curate industry news for weekly e-newsletter Support development of issue papers, talking points, presentations, quantitative analyses, and other client materials Other tasks as assigned Qualifications Upperclassman or Graduate student Interest or experience in defense or national security space Interest or experience in federal appropriations & legislative process Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. The government relations team is small and dedicated to each other and the work of our clients.
