Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Tax Director/Partner with expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to join our leadership team. In this critical role, you will oversee all tax-related aspects of M&A activities, providing strategic tax guidance, leading a team of professionals, and ensuring compliance with domestic and international tax regulations. This position is pivotal in maximizing tax efficiencies, managing risks associated with M&A transactions, and cultivating strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Tax Planning: Design and implement tax strategies that align with business objectives, optimizing tax efficiency for all M&A activities. Expert Advisory: Provide expert advice on complex domestic and international tax matters, including compliance, planning, and risk management. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, evaluating their impact on the firm and its clients. M&A Due Diligence: Lead and coordinate thorough due diligence efforts for M&A transactions, identifying potential tax risks and opportunities. Deal Structuring: Work closely with legal, financial, and operational teams to structure deals in a tax-efficient manner. Post-Merger Integration: Offer strategic guidance on post-merger integration and restructuring to optimize tax benefits. Client Relations: Act as a trusted advisor, conducting client meetings and presentations while nurturing and expanding client relationships. Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous development. Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns to ensure accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations. Stakeholder Management: Manage interactions with tax authorities, handling inquiries, audits, and compliance issues. Risk Management: Monitor the organization's overall tax position, developing and executing strategies to mitigate risks. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required. Experience: At least 12 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and M&A transactions, with extensive knowledge of both domestic and international tax laws. Leadership: Demonstrated experience in business development within the tax domain, with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams. Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with clients and stakeholders. Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking abilities, with the aptitude to analyze complex issues and deliver innovative solutions. Compensation & Benefits: Anchin offers a competitive salary ranging from $220,000 to $500,000+, depending on experience and qualifications.
