The Associate role requires extensive data, people, communication, and project management skills. Position Summary: The firm seeks a detail-oriented Data Analytics Associate to work with a team of analysts and consultants in developing and delivering comparative benchmarking, financial assessments, and donor analytics to our nonprofit clients. This is full-time, hybrid position in our Chicago office (3 days a week onsite). The Data Analytics Associate collects and ensures the integrity of a wide range of fundraising and financial data, performs rigorous analyses, and then drafts clear, compelling, and insightful reports and presentations for the firm's clients. Working across all our industry areas (higher education, healthcare, arts & culture, etc.), the Data Analytics Associate will bring general fundraising and data experience to support our annual and custom project work. The Data Analytics Associate will engage directly with our clients, often using insights from our Analysts, to ensure we collect accurate, comprehensive, and contextual data to inform our strategic engagements. Qualifications Location and In-Office Requirement: This role is based at Huron's headquarters, located at 550 W Van Buren St, Chicago, Illinois. It requires the employee to work in the office three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday). Education and Experience Bachelor's degree required Minimum 4 years of fundraising experience with demonstrable knowledge of fundraising best practices and the non-profit sector, preferred Minimum 2 years of direct experience analyzing quantitative data, preferred Experience with Tableau (visualizations, crosstabs, tables, dashboards etc.) or similar visualization software preferred Experience with R or similar statistical software, preferred Demonstrated fluency with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Data Analysis Perform on- and off-site data collection, project interviews with key client staff and stakeholders, background client research, cohort analysis, comparative data analytics, etc. Analyze collected client data to formulate initial data charts, findings, and recommendations Review comparative benchmarking data to identify data normalization issues, extrapolate key findings, and identify additional data needed to explain trends Onboard, develop/mentor, and help manage the project activities of the analytical operations team assigned to each engagement Ability to manage and track budgets Project Management Work simultaneously on numerous projects with different Project Directors Ability and willingness and ability to travel occasionally (less than 15% of the time) to client sites Engage with clients, colleagues, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely analyses Flexible hours may be required to accommodate global clients Communication and Relationship Skills Demonstrate the mission, vision, values, and culture principles of Huron | GG+A Able to delegate, provide oversight to, mentor, and develop Project Managers and other Data Resources team members Ability to establish, cultivate and nurture high value relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all levels Ability to write and deliver clear concise professional correspondence, presentations and reports The estimated base salary range for this job is $100,000 - $120,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $112,000 - $141,600. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
