EHS Manager My established client is looking for an EHS Manager to join their team. The primary responsibility is to manage and delivery EH&S training for the organization while also conducting performance review of statistical EH&S data trends to determine risk reduction and/or avoidance initiatives. The EHS Manager reports to the Corporate Director of EHS. The EHS Manager frequently interacts with: Health, Safety and Security Supervisor; Environmental Coordinator; Process Safety Manager; Operations Management; Maintenance Management; Engineering and hourly production and maintenance employees. Other contact interactions may involve regulatory agencies, emergency response personnel and legal counsel. On occasion, interaction may involve participation in labor-management meetings. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment. Examples of important individual skill sets required to be successful in the position include, but are not limited to, working effectively within a team and diverse work group, building business partnerships across functional business lines, analytical thinking, problem-solving, people management skills as well as the ability to communicate in non-technical terms to non-technical individuals. The key challenge and responsibility of the position is to assist in driving and leading a health and safety culture change by identifying EH&S "gaps" in training, policy, and operating practices.
