JOB TITLE: Technical Writer II LOCATION: Onsite in Westborough, MA, or Sumner, WA preferred. The MSP Learning Solutions team is looking for an experienced technical writer to create standard operation procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical manuals for users of automated/robotics technologies during alpha and beta testing. The typical audience is Operations Associates and Maintenance Technicians, with a secondary focus on Operations Leaders. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with subject matter experts and project stakeholders to identify learning objectives and performance goals. Conduct needs analysis and learning assessments to identify performance gaps and recommend learning solutions. Design and develop learning solutions, including technical documentation, job-aids, reference materials, e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, videos, simulations, and other interactive content. Design and develop skills-based learning programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences. Evaluate the effectiveness solutions through assessments, feedback, and metrics, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement. Ensure learning solutions are aligned with the overall learning strategy and business objectives. Develop and manage project timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of learning solutions. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of learning materials. Basic qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Experience with Graphics/Photo imaging/Video software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Visio, etc.), Articulate 360, Microsoft SharePoint etc. with prior experience in using Learning Management Systems is a plus. Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models. Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of learning solutions and making data-driven improvements. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality learning solutions. Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in learning design is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or similar field. Experience with Xyleme (LCMS). Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications. Able to write effective instructional texts and scripts. Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and cordial manner through oral, written, and visual communications with others at all levels in the company. STANDOUT on resume: Worked within a manufacturing environment before (collaborated with very technical stakeholders such as mechanical /software engineer) Exposure to mechanical and controls would be very impressive (don't have a strong backing on controls) Candidate who knows the scale of content (content reuse). Someone who has gone through entire workflow and has a strong understanding of it. Someone who is open to using the tool they will be using and not focused on using a different tool. Xyleme experience would but great, but need additional experience as well. Insist on the higher standards, able to defend their reasons and choices IND123
