STV is looking for a Full-Time Senior Structural Engineer in our Virginia Transportation Group. This position's primary roleis to advance projects from notice to proceed (NTP) to final project closeout including plan development, scheduling, cost estimating, specifications, and related administrative duties. Duties also include supervision and guidance as they relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Consults with the Principal Project Engineer to resolve project related issues. Responsibilities and Duties: Serves as a technical lead and/or Project Manager on a variety of Structural and Transportation projects Responsible for successful completion of assigned engineering projects. Represents the company in client meetings and coordinate conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work. Plan, develop, coordinate, and directthe completion of assigned projects. Establishand maintainprimary contact with clients. Prepareschedules to ensure projects are on time and within budget projections. Determinetechnical and professional staffing needs; hire, train, manageand motivatepersonnel. Ability to meet with client and public stakeholders Establishand maintainquality and accuracy standards. Reviewand approvecomplete plans. Obtain approval of improvement plans and permitting by governing entities. Takean active role in new business development. Help with project scope and preparation of technical writeup for proposals. SuperviseEngineers and Technicians as required Qualifications and Skills: BS in Civil Engineering PE licensure in VA 11 or more years of related structural design for highway bridges and/or railroad bridges. Proficiency in oral and written communications. A strong background in highway, pedestrian, and/or rail bridges and other structures Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software. Familiarity with VDOT project processes and standards Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AASHTO LRFD, AREMA, and other structural design codes. Experience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, and knowledge of staged construction analysis Experience with MicroStation and OpenBridge Designer are necessary. Compensation Range: $116,960.00 - $155,946.00 Don't meet every single requirement?
