Description Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Gives responses to all visitors in an effective and prompt manner. Keeps all mechanical areas in a neat and orderly condition. Carries out inspection on public areas daily in case problems arise unexpectedly. Offers maintenance and repairs to public areas, guestrooms, and back-of-house areas including but not limited to minor repairs, painting, and wallpaper repairs. Light/Basic carpentry skills Carries out consistent preventive maintenance programs on rooms and regularly updates records on files. Performs general repairs and maintenance to kitchen equipment on a regular schedule. Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment; not requiring the services of a licensed HVAC Technician. Performs preventive maintenance on plumbing systems Performs preventative maintenance on gas burners and hot water heaters. Guarantees that projects are all promptly accomplished ad in line with appropriate specifications. Works together with management to discuss any aspect of operations which will involve the facility department. Carries out assessment of requirements for completion of reports, or work orders to management. Performs other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager to include, but not limited to, changing lightbulbs, assisting with heavy lifting assignments, and minor snow removal. Other Duties & Responsibilities: Represents Bally's Tiverton in the most positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors. Follows Bally's Tiverton policies and procedures. Follows departmental policies and procedures. Keeps materials and inventory stock items organized. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Knowledge: Candidate must have achieved a Journeyman Plumber's license with a minimum of four years (including apprenticeship) in the construction or maintenance fields. Skills: Computer knowledge, and, MS Office are minimum requirements; CAD is a plus. Abilities: High School diploma general education (GED) and five years related experience. Basic to advanced knowledge of electronics and mechanics. Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Maintain flexibility to handle changing priorities. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to exercise initiative and a sense of urgency. Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Strong tactical skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all employees and guests. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
