Safety - Integrity - Customer Focus - Respect & Trust - Accountability - Excellence JOB SUMMARY The Staff Accountant is responsible for all aspects of accounting including preparing journal entries, reconciling records across departments, identifying root causes of variance, and proposing plans to resolve variances. Support AP, AR, general ledger accounting, audit, and forecasting. Complete financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation and assist month-end and year-end closings. KEY RESULTS AREAS Financial Reporting, Analysis, Month End Close and General Ledger Accounting Accurately analyze and review financial data, reconcile differences, prepare financial reports for both internal and external purposes, and resolve diverse accounting and finance issues. Monitors and reports potential financial issues and risks while providing solid solutions when issues surface. Perform accounts payable/receivable duties and month-end and year-end reporting. Knowledge and Adherence to GAAP and Senior's Financial Policies, processes, and Procedures Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), applicable regulations, and senior financial policies and procedures. Cash reporting, KPIs & Financial modeling Develop, improve, and maintain financial modeling to improve efficiency for cash reporting, budget, and forecast. Develop solid tools to streamline, consolidate and report profitability by business units. Contribute to the development of the annual operating budget. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in an Accounting EXPERIENCE 3-5 Years' Experience in Accounting Manufacturing Experience preferred Work with Chief Financial Officer, Business Unit Directors, Plant Managers, Operations Manager, Human Resources, Engineering, Materials Manager/Director, and Finance/Accounting Team Additional Responsibilities Perform the following activities on an as-needed basis: Support system upgrade project Support Saltillo initiatives Support AR/AP Support Accounting Manager with month end close Technical Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Knowledge of ERP systems Month end close expertise Strong written and verbal communication COMPETENCIES Job Knowledge Positive Mindset Teamwork & Collaboration Communication Ownership, Accountability Critical Thinking Results Orientation & Problem Solving Financial Analysis/Reporting Customer Support Confidentiality Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
