ABOUT THE ROLE The GIS Developer will have experience in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) implementation. This position utilizes the GIS software, database management tools, remote sensing date, Global Positioning System (GPS) data, engineering design data, and various tools to power CoStar Group's products and markeplaces and to enhance existing business processes while integrating other enterprise systems. RESPONSIBILITIES Utilizes GIS software, database management tools, Global Positioning System (GPS) data, engineering design data to create and maintain GIS solutions that enhance existing business processes and integrate with other enterprise systems. Maintain server infrastructure to support the ArcGIS Enterprise environment using infrastructure provisioning tools for data center and cloud environments. Develop and maintain custom data pipelines using various tools and technologies, such as Python, SQL Server and Cloud Platforms. Maintain domain specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet ever changing needs and technology. Troubleshoot and resolve GIS system issues and provide enhanced remediation and mitigation solutions to help prevent repeat incidents. Work closely with internal staff through all stages of projects - product/project ideation, business analysis, technical analysis and development, and project management and long-term support. Develop training materials, and conduct training and support departmental data collection efforts. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Geographical Sciences, Computer Science, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or other related field. 5+ years of GIS engineering experience, and/or deep database engineering experience. Experience with Esri and Python 3+ years of experience working in design, development, deployment, and support of GIS solutions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with developing, maintaining, and the deployment of web-based GIS solutions using Javascript, HTML, CSS. Experience developing spatial data ETL scripts and tools using Python, or other scripting languages. Experience with GIS workflow processes and QA/QC procedures. Experience creating GIS data layers and working with enterprise geodatabases. Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise setup, configuration and administration. Experience with ArcGIS and Esri (Online, Pro, and Enterprise) SQL familiarity, to include the ability to write queries WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
