Job Title: MEP Coordinator Job Description We are seeking an MEP Coordinator with strong computer skills and familiarity with Switchgears and UPS systems as they relate to Data Centers. This role is based in Northern VA and requires openness to travel. The ideal candidate will have experience in Data Centers and the Electrical field. As an MEP Technical Coordinator, you will be responsible for working with customers during the installation of electrical and cooling equipment and troubleshooting mechanical and control issues. You will represent the client onsite with a roughly 65/35 technical/coordination split, and may travel to other sites to assist with advanced mechanical and control situations. Responsibilities Integrate systems to communicate with the owner's control system Troubleshoot communication issues within systems Diagnose program or equipment/hardware issues Update obsolete control systems to new platforms Ensure HVAC equipment communicates with the owner's control system Oversee commissioning of chillers, taking into account site-specific characteristics Facilitate communication among project stakeholders Verify that systems meet project requirements through quality assurance processes Coordinate project schedules with business units and schedulers Manage large project sites to ensure timely completion Act as the single point of contact for HVAC project status Manage project status and information in formal briefings and weekly calls Attend regular project meetings to address action items and project schedules Understand and enforce site safety protocols, including LOTO and PPE Essential Skills Experience with Data Centers Commissioning and testing of UPS/ATS systems Ability to travel 100% Strong computer skills Troubleshooting skills Knowledge of Procore and OSHA regulations Mechanical and construction management experience Additional Skills & Qualifications Engineering degree (mechanical and/or electrical) Professional Engineer (PE) License, Certified HVAC Designer (CHD), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), EPA 608 Certification 10+ years working with advanced mechanical systems HVAC interface experience Experience retrofitting control systems Understanding of Energy Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) Configuration of communication cards 2+ years' experience managing large, high-profile projects Ability to read blueprints and associated building information Strong understanding of business objectives and project management Excellent communication and follow-through skills Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Willingness to travel in North America Professional representation and self-motivation Work Environment This position is onsite at a Data Center in Northern VA. Due to the traveling schedule of most employees, this role includes a 3-day weekend once a month. This is a salaried exempt position.
