Job Description Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations IT Administrative Assistant to support our IT and operations departments. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and operational support, help streamline processes and assist with technology and systems management. This role is critical to ensuring smooth daily operations and effective communication within the IT and operations teams. Location 1130 Connecticut Ave, NW Washington DC Job Type Full-time, Contract to Hire Salary Range $25-$28 hr Key Responsibilities Administrative Support: Provide daily administrative assistance to the IT and operations teams, including scheduling, calendar management, and preparing reports. Document Management: Maintain, organize, and update IT documentation, manuals, and SOPs. Ensure proper filing and retrieval of critical records. Vonage/Help Desk Support: Assist with Tier 1 support requests, including password resets, basic troubleshooting, and escalating technical issues to senior IT staff. Inventory/Deployment Assistance: Assist in the ordering and inventory management of IT hardware, software, and other equipment. Track and monitor deliveries. Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize IT/Ops team meetings, prepare agendas, and take detailed minutes for follow-up actions. System Monitoring: Support IT staff by monitoring system performance, reporting incidents, and helping with system updates or patch management. User Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, including setting up workstations, configuring software, and granting system access. Project Support: Provide administrative assistance on IT-related projects, including tracking timelines, deployment of equipment, obtaining equipment user agreements, coordinating resources, and updating status reports. Compliance Assistance: Help ensure the organization's compliance with IT policies, data privacy regulations, and security protocols. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in IT or office administration is a plus. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in operations, either in an administrative or IT support role. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Basic understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software. Experience with ticketing systems is a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
