Learn Overview of Job Function: Verint's Senior Software Engineer works with a global team of engineers to meet our business objectives following continuous integration and continuous deployment processes. Additionally, they lead the implementation of new solutions and provide recommendations to management as to process, technologies, and other improvements intended to benefit productivity, efficiency and/or quality of the solutions developed by the team. Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities: Lead development efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams including internal engineering teams and product managers Develop features using best practices and ensure they fit with the architecture for the product Ensure the right work is being done, work with Team Lead to know that product qualities like, unit tests, automation, throughput, capacities, security & performance will be sufficient Ensure design and implementation work meets the stakeholder's requirements Ensure that the feature design is correct for operations, as well as deployment and sustainability Support departmental and team initiatives Work with Technical Architect and Team Lead to define, document, and communicate a coherent feature design Identify, monitor and resolve feature related issues; work as a point of escalation for less experiences members of staff Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field 5 - 8 years experience in design and programming large scale applications through all phases of the software development life cycle including testing, implementation and auditing Experience of developing high quality, secure and performant solutions against functional and non-functional requirements Experience of working with Front End development Experience aligning feature development with business initiatives and corporate roadmaps Strong proficiency in object-orientated languages such as Java (Spring, J2EE, JSPs, EJBs) Experience with both web client side and server-side development Solid understanding of core web concepts Experience consuming and developing REST-based web services Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka. Experience of database technologies, including relational databases. Experience of using suitable tools to debug code. Knowledge of an IDE e.g. IntelliJ, WebStorm or VS Code Experience of distributed version control systems such as GitHub Experience with writing automated tests. Experience of unit testing and TDD.
