Client Overview: Our client, a leading global company and manufacturer of personal care and consumer goods, is seeking an Entry Level Chemist to work in their research and development lab. This position will assist in developing new products and adjusting existing ones. The ideal candidate should also have knowledge of wet chemistry techniques, including titration, distillation, spectrophotometry (UV/Vis/IR), colorimetry, filtration, drying, weighing, and pH tests, among others. Salary/Hourly Rate: $20 - $22/hr Position Overview: The Entry Level Chemist will collaborate with senior scientists in the formulation of new products and adjustments of existing ones. This Entry Level Chemist role requires adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the ability to swiftly adapt to a diverse range of testing protocols for regulated products. Responsibilities of the Entry Level Chemist: Execute experiments in the laboratory, utilizing wet chemicals and specialized instrumentation for sample analysis Manage and perform stability testing Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshoot minor issues as needed Prepare product batches for various testing requirements aligned with ongoing projects Set up, calibrate, and ensure the upkeep of laboratory equipment Record testing data using company software and industry-specific programs Assist in managing laboratory-specific software and raw material inventory Qualifications for the Entry Level Chemist: 0 to 2 years of experience, preferential consideration given to candidates with hands-on experience in wet or instrumental chemistry through research, co-op, or professional roles Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a drive for operational efficiency in chemistry-related processes Education Requirements: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biology, or related fields is required Benefits: Atrium Care Package available, upon eligibility.
