Position Overview: Now Hiring! Welder Location: Columbus, OH Salary: $20-24/hr Job Summary: Responsible for MIG welding metal components together according to drawings, work orders or blueprints. You will interpret documentation, select the appropriate tools and metals, measuring and assembling the pieces. Weekly Pay Key Responsibilities: Build and fabricate steel girders, columns, and other steel members to form buildings and other steel structures. Cut, position, and weld by AISC quality standards. Fabricate, Weld, Torch cut, Drill and Grid structural building components. Drill holes into steel members for bolting purposes. Number and mark steel according to fabrication schedule instructions and AISC quality standards. (STAMPING) Ability to read a tape measure is required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required No specific certificates or licenses are required for entering into this position; however, experience in the welding profession is required; specific training is substituted for experience. Must be able to pass 1G, Flat position, multi-pass weld test. Must have reliable transportation. Experience operating with overhead cranes. Experience operating forklifts Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Specific Skills: Responsible for area housekeeping. Ability to effectively MIG weld with 1/16 solid wire with Argon/CO2 Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organizations goals.
