Overview Custodians at the Touro Long Island Campus are responsible to perform services to keep the building and grounds clean and safe. Responsibilities Custodial duties include but are not limited to the following: All general cleaning duties to maintain the building Sweeping, mopping, trash removal, stripping and buffing of floors, carpet cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal, dusting, cleaning of walls, clean trash pails, window washing, etc. Moving of furniture and set up of furniture for events and maintenance of areas. All general yard duties to maintain the grounds and sidewalks Required to report to work after snow storms to assist in snow removal from sidewalks and walkways Evacuating of people out of building in case of fire drill and/or emergencies Driving the truck and/or bus if approved and required to do so Other duties as required Qualifications Degrees High School Diploma/GED Eqvlnt Preferred Physical Demands Extensive Standing Ability to lift and move furntiure boxes etc. Ability to work in the cold and perform snow removal Ability to rake mow weed and do other yard upkeep Maximum Salary USD $33,280.00/Yr. Minimum Salary USD $33,280.00/Yr.
