In the role ofa Financial Specialist you will beworking in the Cancer Center. Purpose Responsible for all billing and collection for an assigned clinical trial portfolio. Track and manage all Clinical Trial Office (CTO) held study expenses and revenue, including external client billing, and associated receivables. Perform financial and business-related analysis of active clinical trials. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and monitor daily financials of clinical trial research/grant accounts. Primary Functions Serves as financial contact to Froedtert Hospital Office of Clinical Research and Innovative Care Compliance (OCRICC), MCW Sponsored Programs staff, clinical research managers and coordinators, and Sponsor representatives related to clinical trial finances to identify, track, approve and resolve billing issues related to conduct of clinical research. Monitors clinical trial-related expenses to ensure within the approved study budget and identifies billable items of the clinical trial agreement for appropriate billing of the trial Sponsor and recovery of associated revenue. Assists CTO Financial Analyst and CC Business Manager with financial management of clinical trials identifying mechanisms to maximize reimbursement of clinical trial expenses. Actively manage and pursue collection of all aged receivables for the assigned portfolio. Assist with clinical trial account close-out process by ensuring all billable items have been invoiced. Train and work with Finance Team to effectively implement OnCore Financials into the operational management of the clinical trials office, including but not limited to, final financial builds and associated Sponsor billing management. Assist in special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of accounting, economics, mathematics, administration, English language, law, government, and human resources.Work requires resource management, mathematics, problem solving, coordinating work activities, critical thinking, systems analysis, operations analysis, time management, writing, active listening, and active learning skills. Speech clarity, speech recognition, finger dexterity, and wrist-finger speed while operating computers abilities required. #LI-AV1 Preferred Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00 Position Requirements: Specifications Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree. Minimum Required Experience: 1 year of experience related to collections and/or financial administration. Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Healthcare-related field Preferred Experience: One year or more of financial management and/or contracting. Ability to interpret technical information, legal documents, and data (clinical trial agreements, protocols, financial analysis, etc.). Experience working in multiple custom software platforms simultaneously. Field: Collections / Finance Why MCW?
