STV currently has an opening in either our Charlotte or Morrisville, NC office for a Civil Engineering Specialist to support the Specialty Design Build projects for Special Project Roadway projects for our Transportation, Construction Management division. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and designers to provide complex design solutions (geometric roadway design, prepare drawings, calculations, quantities, and specifications for transportation projects, Rail design, Bridge, and crane footings analysis). This position requires collaboration with other disciplines including planning, environmental, hydraulics, and structures. A successful candidate will have a strong desire to meet and/or exceed client expectations and will work efficiently to provide project deliverables. You will have the opportunity to: Provide Civil/Structural Design and engineering functions on a variety of transportation projects Support both bid and design build type projects providing design using MicroStation, Open Roads, Geopak Provide professional design services for transportation highway and other projects for the NCDOT and other transportation agencies Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget Assisting with the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required 0-2 years of roadway design experience is preferred Proficiency with MicroStation, Geopak and Microsoft Office Suite, Familiarity with Open Roads Designer Compensation Range: $55,690.00 - $74,254.00 Don't meet every single requirement?
