Job Title: Finance Senior Associate Duration: 7 months contract with high possibility of extension Location: West Greenwich, RI- Regular Hours - Fully Onsite Job description: Bachelor Degree 5+ YOE would be ideal with an accounting background B.S Accounting Capital Investments Actual/Forecasting/Budget reporting Variance Analysis SAP experience Hyperion experience Advanced Excel proficiency Manufacturing general (Pharma experience) Technical skills: Excel (large data sets, Vlookup, Match, Excel) SAP, Essbase, Hyperion) Job Details: Provide financial planning and analysis services to area(s) assigned. Provide analytical support to senior management in preparing long-range plans, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and reviewing actual results of operations compared to forecasts. Provide analytical support to senior management related to key decisions, such as capital budgeting and pricing analyses. Educate senior management and staff of functional areas regarding Company financial policies and procedures, and assist them in interpreting and applying those policies. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings within the functional area; present those opportunities to senior managers; and assist in implementing them. Develop benchmarks to evaluate resource allocation, relative efficiencies, and asset management of the functional area. Interface with other areas of Finance as needed. ; Skills: ; experience in budget and finance planning; MBA or CPA preferred Basic Qualifications Master degree OR Bachelor degree & 2 years of directly related experience OR Associate degree & 6 years of directly related experience OR High school diploma / GED & 8 years of directly related experience Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets: B.S Accounting Capital Investments Actual/Forecasting/Budget reporting Variance Analysis SAP experience Hyperion experience Advanced Excel proficiency Nice to have: Manufacturing or previous pharma experience Day to Day Responsibilities: - Support financial expense planning processes such as the monthly close, quarterly forecasting, and annual planning activities including headcount, operating expense and capital investments by working closely with internal stakeholders to support strategic planning and operational decision making Prepare, analyze and present operating expense results for various functional areas to the business. Understand expense variances, resolve discrepancies and work with appropriate staff to ensure processes are in place to handle changes in the business Document analysis and related-work flow activities to insure proper support and standardized procedures Performing ad hoc financial analysis and supporting special projects as needed Red Flags: short-term employment. jumping from job to job, Lack of strong excel skills.
