Duties, Responsibilities & Other KCi Technologies is hiring a Sr. Electrical Project Engineer to join our MEP practice. Qualified candidates will have 6+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in MEP Building Systems profession Responsible for working independently to develop electrical design drawings for building systems. This will include creating a one-line diagram, creating load analysis, creating panel schedules, researching product data sheets for various pieces of equipment to find the electrical information. Selecting/ specifying electrical equipment like switchboards/ panels/ transformer/ Lighting Controls. This person will also be expected to answer questions about their design during the construction process to provide guidance and information to architects and contractors. This person will be expected to communicate professionally with clients, and other engineers. PE License is required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Appropriate graduate level work. Master's degree preferred. 6 - 10 years of professional experience. PE Required. The target candidate will have experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring projects involving both overhead and underground engineering systems. Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position. Performance Expectations Submit for approval and deliver timely annual Employee Performance Appraisals for assigned staff Train adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absence Comply with all KCI policies and procedures Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements Manage work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as required Complete other duties as required/assigned Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target(75%-80% typical) Attend bi-weekly(or more frequently as necessary) meetings with project team on all projects/tasks Chart and provide task performance results Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters Prepare interpractice agreements and/or outside requests as required Provide technical project and staff oversight Serve as task manager on select projects Compare field data to base plan Conduct site visits and gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes and photographs as needed Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for review and approval Prepare preliminary concept designs and submit for approval Read and interpret technical documents needed for performance of job Review and approve shop drawings Complete Annual Individual Training Program KCI Technologies, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
