Yates Executive Coordinator Position (Full-Time - 32 hrs/week) Job Description Yates Creative () seeks a full-time Executive Coordinator to support our non-profit and community-driven clients in telling powerful stories online, alongside our Founder & Lead Strategist. We are seeking a creative, initiative-taking, driven person to join our team as the Yates Executive Coordinator. The Executive Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Founder & Lead Strategist in meeting client deliverables, shaping external and internal organizational digital strategies, crafting meaningful messaging, and developing dynamic campaigns. They will also have opportunities to work alongside the Operations Manager to build Yates' brand strategy and social media content. This is a great opportunity for an early career professional hoping to gain expertise across several avenues of the organization: strategic communications and storytelling, business development, account and project management. *This is a hybrid position. The Yates Executive Coordinator will be expected to work in-person at our Oakland coworking space once a week.** Yates Creative is a strategic communications agency striving to enhance the stories of community-centered businesses and nonprofits, in an effort to collectively achieve Black liberation. Location: San Francisco Bay Area resident, hybrid Reports to: Founder & Lead Strategist Terms of Employment: Full-time, non-exempt. 4-day work week, 32 hrs/week Salary: 55K - 65K, depending on experience. Qualifications We are looking for a creative and driven candidate with strong experience in communications management and proficiency in content creation. Bachelor's degree in communications, public policy, journalism and/or equivalent work management experience (2-3 years of experience is preferred) in non-profit, marketing and/or movement based organizations. Applicants with work experience but no college degrees are welcome to apply. Demonstrates strong understanding and commitment to racial equity and anti-racism, with familiarity of intersectional issues in communities of color. Excellent written and verbal communication to communicate alongside internal and external stakeholders. Experience in cross platform media management platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Medium, Wordpress, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and management/design tools such as Sprout Social and Canva. A willingness to proactively collaborate with clients and Yates Creative team members to create original social content for publishing platforms (e.g. video, audio clips, graphics) while maintaining consistent style and visual appeal based on client branding Excellent copywriting skills that ensure accurate, grammatically correct public-facing communications channels. The capacity to work independently and collaboratively while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Flexible, willingness to adapt to changes, innovate, problem-solve and take initiative. Main Responsibilities The Yates Executive Coordinator will be under the direct supervision of the Yates Creative Founder & Lead Strategist for select clientele projects. They will also be working alongside the Yates Creative Operations Manager regarding internal Yates brand strategy and content. Key responsibilities include Executive Support Support the Founder & Lead Strategist primarily in his day-to-day responsibilities to ensure that company goals and timelines are met. Join client meetings, proactively collaborate with clients and team members to ensure their communications needs are met. Follow up with current and potential clients with meeting recaps. Attend client meetings and Yates team meetings. Social Media Strategy and Implementation Support Yates team in the development of short and long-term communications strategies addressing clients' goals with tangible daily tactics. Research and stay up to date on the latest developments in content trends, platforms, creation to increase branding and social media presence for clients and Yates. Brainstorm and implement original ideas for social media content, craft copy, build and manage editorial calendar. Remain on top of communications and social media best practices. Support in the creation of client messaging, collateral and shareable materials. Organize and share email and social media engagement reports for select projects. Think of innovative ways to meet our goals and engage audiences. Support Yates team members with content designs using Canva. Content Creation Brainstorm and execute original ideas for Yates' social media content including crafting short-form copy, building and managing internal Yates editorial calendar. Manage and design select in-house Yates editorial calendar social content alongside the design team and Operations Manager. Create and organize email newsletters and social reports for Yates Creative. Client Messaging and Campaign work Conduct client research, audience and landscape analyses for select clients. Consolidate research findings in client presentations. Craft original messaging with secondary talking points. Draft copy for website and additional collateral materials. Stay on top of current trends which we may integrate into client campaign work.
