Where you'll work: You will work onsite in Crystal City, VA initially and then transition to onsite in Manassas, VA within the first year. Our Customer's Mission: Team Epsilon has been chosen to deliver full-spectrum IT and Cyber Security support to a critical and enduring multinational organization within the United States Department of Defense. This DoD organization manages the resourcing, development and sustainment of one of our nation's most coveted and capable platforms. Our role in this mission involves managing classified environments, supporting international partners and foreign military sales (FMS) clients, providing top-tier desk-side support, and offering adaptable enterprise infrastructure solutions. An average day: As COMSEC Custodian III, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Communications Security (COMSEC) materials and equipment within a complex environment that includes both domestic and international infrastructures and data centers. This role ensures compliance with all applicable federal regulations and security standards, safeguarding sensitive information while supporting a large enterprise effort. You will collaborate with various teams to maintain the integrity and security of COMSEC assets, ensuring their effective operation and adherence to mission requirements. Additionally, in this position you will: Manage the inventory, control, and distribution of COMSEC materials, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Conduct regular audits of COMSEC assets to verify accuracy and adherence to security protocols. Develop and maintain documentation related to COMSEC and classified material handling policies, procedures, and inventory management. Provide training and guidance to personnel on proper handling and usage of COMSEC and classified materials. Monitor and report on COMSEC equipment status, coordinating repairs or replacements as necessary. Liaise with government and contractor personnel regarding COMSEC requirements and compliance issues. Assist in the development and implementation of COMSEC and classified material handling training programs for staff. Ensure timely reporting of any incidents involving COMSEC materials or breaches of security. Support compliance with federal and contractual requirements for security and information assurance. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure COMSEC and classified material handling policies and procedures are being followed, and produce audit findings reports for distribution to Senior Leadership. Oversee distribution and destruction of classified materials per Government defined policy. Coordinate with other security departments and external agencies. Design, implement, and update new COMSEC policies and procedures, with Government oversight and approval. Participate in risk assessments and recommend improvements to enhance security measures. Basic Qualifications: As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C) , Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions. Minimum of 5 years of experience in COMSEC management or a related security discipline. In-depth knowledge of COMSEC and classified material handling policies, procedures, and federal regulations. Experience with key management systems (KMS) and hardware security modules (HSM). Proficiency in the use of COMSEC equipment such as cryptographic devices, secure telephone units (STUs), and secure communications systems. Familiarity with COMSEC reporting requirements and incident management protocols. Understanding of risk management frameworks, such as NIST SP 800-53 and RMF. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with experience in conducting audits and compliance assessments. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Other Requirements: Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility or have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
