Business Analyst

About the Company: A leading player in the life (re)insurance sector, specializing in acquiring in-force life insurance and annuities. About the Role: The IT Business Analyst role is diverse, primarily focusing on supporting structured data and platforms for client, data warehouse, and actuarial data integrations from new deals, along with production support tasks for ongoing data processing operations. Responsibilities: Collaborate with various departments and IT developers to quickly and effectively troubleshoot production issues, minimizing business process disruptions. Analyze and understand relationships in large data sets using Microsoft Excel and SQL. Ensure timely and organized onboarding of data files to meet target deadlines. Maintain accurate data validation processes. Execute all quarter and year-end close activities, working closely with data source providers to resolve issues. Perform integration and regression testing, troubleshooting any issues that arise. Develop and use standard templates to write requirement specifications, testing documents, and process documentation accurately and concisely. Translate conceptual user requirements into clear functional requirements for developers/project teams. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of direct work experience in an IT business analyst role with a strong focus on data analysis; financial services industry experience preferred. Exceptional analysis, problem identification, and resolution skills. Ability to structure and drive collaborative working sessions to achieve desired outcomes. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to set and manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to query and manipulate data using Microsoft Excel and SQL. Effective communication skills with business and technology colleagues at all organizational levels. Experience in Agile methodology and the use of Agile planning tools (e.g., DevOps boards) and JIRA desired. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related discipline.
