Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Location: Metro Detroit (REMOTE) Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. Job Description: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing financial operations. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, provide insightful analysis, and support strategic decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes. Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed explanations for discrepancies. Oversee accounts payable functions. Perform cost accounting activities to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. Provide financial insights to senior management. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial reporting requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred. 2-3+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing or related industry. Public Accounting experience is highly desired. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
