Description SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the provisioning, maintenance, and control of the inventory necessary to support the ABX fleet of aircraft. Develops, reviews and maintains contracts for airframe and component maintenance providers to include C-Checks, paint, drop-in maintenance and component repair and overhaul. Provides management, leadership, training and motivation for all Materials Management personnel. Provide timely material support for all phases of aircraft maintenance to ensure optimal operational availability. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Allocate workload and manage daily activities of assigned personnel per ABX policies Assure staff compliance with corporate, FAA, SOX and other regulatory requirements Draft, negotiate and manage material supplier pricing and purchasing agreements Provide management of ABX aircraft material and tooling inventory to include outbase station allocations, rotable sparing levels, inventory re-order point adjustments, inventory review and adjustment, analysis and procurement of material and tooling based on projected fleet growth plans Oversee C-Check, modification, and line maintenance material support to include scheduled maintenance pre-draw requirements, non-routine and AOG material requirements Develop, review and maintain contracts for airframe and component maintenance providers to include C-Checks, paint, drop-in maintenance, and component repair and overhaul Provide oversight and guidance for the repair, overhaul and modification of all rotable and repairable components in the ABX inventory Approve purchase orders prior to release and review/approve invoices as required by accounting policy Maintain, review and implement required changes to the Repair Services Procedures Manual and the Materials Management/Receiving Inspection Procedures Manual Approve, audit and evaluate performance of approved vendors Serve as the Materials Management and Airframe Contracts SME during meetings, conferences and project teams Perform other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has supervisory QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED required Undergraduate degree in business administration or similar degree preferred Minimum 5 years in a purchasing, contracts and materials management environment Minimum 5 years in an aviation support position 5 years in a purchasing, contracts or materials management leadership role preferred Extensive knowledge of ABX's Inventory Control System preferred ABX GMM, Repair Services and Receiving Inspection Procedures manuals knowledge preferred Ability to work with little or no supervision Ability to work flexible work hours and independently Strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills Purchasing Manager, Logistics Manager or Certified contract manager certification preferred SAP resource management systems knowledge, PMI purchasing and materials management software or other financial systems knowledge preferred Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) financial regulations and reporting and FAA regulations knowledge preferred Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
