*Remote Contract-to-Hire Opportunity* Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their APM Engineer position! This is a 6 month contract-to-potential-hire opportunity and can be remote within the United States, working EST time zone. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. Position Overview: The APM Engineer works as a member of the Application Performance team and is charged to understand the goals/objectives of that team and supports Enterprise Architecture and Shared Services Technology division. As part of the Application Monitoring team, engineers will be working on supporting Tier0 and Tier1 Applications using Dynatrace, Zabbix, Cloud watch and Splunk monitoring tools. They will be working closely with Application Teams and Middleware Teams on the analysis, prediction and research for health checks, logs and alerts. Application Performance engineers will be interacting with both Windows and Linux platform servers and improving the monitoring tools with applied scripting knowledge and querying SQL databases. What You'll Be Doing: •Work with Application teams to define thresholds and configure alerts accordingly. •Install, configure and maintain Zabbix, foglight and Dynatrace tools. •Daily Operations (Release management, Health checks, log analysis, alerts review) •Work on Trend/Prediction Analysis configuration skills •Work on the tuning and maintenance of system alerts •Explore possible solutions within the Zabbix, Dynatrace and foglight tools. •Create Splunk dashboards for various applications. •Support and participate in incident calls and help to troubleshoot the issues. •Provide expertise with cloud watch and AWS resource monitoring. •Help to support Kubernetes monitoring using Dynatrace. •Upgrade Zabbix and Dynatrace frequently. •Apply security patches to the monitoring infrastructure. •Need to come up with solutions for custom monitoring for applications by building custom scripts. •Provide expertise with DB concepts, MicroServices and shell scripting. •Provide expertise with Azure DevOps tool to create and maintain PBI's. What You'll Need to Have: •At least 8 years of experience as Performance Monitoring Engineer •Expertise in Zabbix, Dynatrace, Splunk and foglight tools •Experience with Cloud Watch and AWS tools •Experience with Shell Scripting •Experience in PowerShell •Experience with backups, restores and recovery models. •Familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems •Experience with administration of at least one of these monitoring tools : Zabbix or Dynatrace •Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams •Bachelor's degree in computer science, or combination of education and experience •Strong verbal and written communication skills (English) •Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Pay Range : $54-$64/hr Questions about any of our jobs?
