Acts as lead within a designated portfolio in negotiation of complex workout agreements with problem borrowers. Partners with legal counsel to expeditiously resolve litigation while minimizing legal and collection expenses. Manages Commercial OREO properties from acquisition to disposition. Refers charged off accounts and monitors results with internal and external legal team and collection agencies. Conducts risk analysis and mitigation. Identifies delinquency and loss issues and trends and provides reporting to management. Major Duties and Responsibilities Partners directly with commercial members and other relevant team members to develop appropriate work-out solutions to mitigate loss to the credit union, and when appropriate, directs liquidation of collateral and collection of amounts due through all available means. Evaluates and provides timely responses to member inquiries for loss mitigation relief options. Prepares and maintains required records and reports regarding loss mitigation activities to remain in compliance with internal controls and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Establish action plans with specific resolution target dates and promptly conveying recommendations on adjustments for risk ratings, loss recognitions or write off s and accrual status. Formulate and execute exit and retention strategy plans for commercial loans by recommending the best course of action. Actively participate in evaluating all criticized and classified credits and approves action plans intended to remedy troubled credit situations. Work with Commercial Lenders to identify alternatives to resolve problem loan situations. Collaborates with legal counsel to expeditiously resolve litigation while minimizing legal and collection expenses. Manages Commercial OREO properties from acquisition to disposition. Refers charged off accounts and monitors results with internal and external legal teams and collection agencies. Facilitates monthly Watch Credit meeting to discuss delinquent, watch, charge off and loss trends with management. Performs appropriate commercial loan portfolio analysis to identify trends and recommends strategies to address negative trends and isolation of impacting and risk factors which have been identified.
