The Position The Manager, Finance and Accounting position will partner with all levels of the business to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting results. Responsibilities include managing and overseeing all aspects of the accounting functions while collaborating with the Director of Finance for continuous process improvements. Additionally, this individual will work closely with Mid-America Transplant (MT) leadership to provide insightful analysis of financial results, helping to further understand the company's financial performance to enable more informed business decisions. What You'll Do General Accounting Provide oversight for all daily accounting activities including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations for all MT entities Responsible for the daily monitoring of General Accounting activities and identifying opportunities within such processes Ensure accuracy of inputs that supports accurate financial statements Design, implement and maintain financial internal controls, policies and procedures, as needed Identify and/or recommend current financial and industry trends for cost effective and efficient solutions Conduct month and year-end closeout procedures Financial Reporting Direct and oversee the preparation, compilation, and presentation of financial reports to ensure accurate and timely presentation of the financial position in accordance with regulatory entities including GAAP and CMS Developing and managing budgets, preparing financial forecasts, and tracking actual performance against target Collaborate with leaders to develop and implement strategic financial initiatives Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making Talent Management Manage the selection, training, development, workload and performance of assigned staff to retain a motivated, professional accounting staff Establish and communicate job responsibilities as well as employee performance expectations to ensure mutual understanding of desired results Constructively coach and counsel for success to optimize employee performance What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work experience required 3-5 year of accounting/finance experience, experience in Healthcare setting a plus 1-3 years of experience leading others Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles Expert computer skills - proficient in Microsoft Office applications Solid analytical, critical thinking, decision making and problem- solving skills Proficient in analyzing and interpreting complex data and communicating it clearly to colleagues and other stakeholders Demonstrated ability to use business knowledge to influence actions and constructively challenge the status quo at all levels of the organization What We'll Bring Health insurance premium option at zero out of pocket for single coverage, eligible on your first day 401(k) Retirement Match - offering up to a 5% match of annual salary starting the 1st day of the month following your start date 401(k) Retirement Plan - offering up to another 9% contribution of your annual salary after one year Paid Life Insurance - four times your salary Paid Long Term Disability Annual incentive plan in addition to annual salary increases Tuition Reimbursement Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
