We are a leading firm in the Accounting and Finance industry seeking a dynamic and skilled Permanent Sr. Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, coupled with a keen sense of detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of excellence in accounting. Responsibilities: As a Permanent Sr. Accountant, you are expected to: 1. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate and complete financial records. 2. Prepare and post monthly journal entries, ensuring that business transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies and GAAP. 3. Manage sales tax filings and maintain up-to-date knowledge of sales tax laws and regulations. 4. Oversee ERP maintenance, ensuring the system is up-to-date and accurately reflects the company's financial status. 5. Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal control requirements. 6. Utilize intermediate Excel skills to manage, analyze, and present financial data. 7. Apply financial and analytical skills to interpret financial data, recognize trends, and provide accurate financial reports. 8. If familiar, leverage SAP Business One to streamline accounting processes and improve financial management. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role. 3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX regulations. 4. Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems. Familiarity with SAP Business One is a plus. 5. Excellent financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. 6. Experience with sales tax filings and balance sheet reconciliations. 7. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. 8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
