We invite qualified candidates to apply for an exciting opportunity to join our Foodbuy Accounting team as a Rebate Staff Accountant. In this role, you will leverage your accounting expertise and problem-solving skills to manage daily accounting functions, ensure the accurate reporting of income, and provide valuable financial insights to our internal and external customers. If you have a four-year degree in Accounting or Finance, 1-2 years of experience, proficiency in Excel, and a passion for data analysis and process improvement, we encourage you to apply. Experience with SAP and large organizations is a plus, as is a commitment to integrity, organization, and delivering high-quality results. ***This role is based in Charlotte, NC and offers a HYBRID work schedule!*** Job Summary Responsibilities: Recognition, allocation, reporting and analysis of NT Supplier Volume Allowance for Compass Group and third party committed customers Perform trend analysis to ensure that all income is reported, and any missing volume allowance is accrued prior to field close Accurate and timely statement of all purchasing balance sheet accounts in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and company policies. Reconcile AR for assigned suppliers and work to resolve AR issues timely and accurately. Preparing and recording Journal Entries as needed. Preparing and analyzing monthly financial reporting for internal and external customers. Performing daily and month end tasks timely and accurately. Processing manual invoices for Category Management. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and provide outstanding customer service. Review and challenge current processes to identify areas of improvement. Requirements: Four year degree in Accounting or Finance 1-2 years accounting experience Proficient in Microsoft Office (Strong Excel skills required, Access database skills a plus) Experience with SAP preferred Experience with a large company preferred (> $3 billion sales) Experience processing large volumes of complex data An established reputation for integrity Other Skills/Abilities: Ability to effectively manage and complete daily accounting functions Ability to multi-task between various priorities, tasks and timelines Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Committed and enthusiastic approach to delivering solutions to business customers Problem-solving and process improvement skills Research and analytical skills Strong organization and planning skills Detailed oriented with strong problem-solving skills Apply to Compass Group today!
