POSITION SUMMARY We're seeking a dynamic and visionary leader of EDI and Integration Technology to join our team. The individual will be responsible for leading existing operations of EDI while spearheading the selection, design and implementation of modern integration technologies. As the Leader, you will be the driving force behind data integration visioning, education, development and support. Your leadership will be crucial in optimizing our processes, standardizing the approach, and maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise (modern integration technologies, trading partner requirements, and EDI standards), strategic vision and leadership capabilities. The position reports to the Sr Director of Applications, manages 1 direct report, owns multiple vendor relationships, and works collaboratively internally and externally for customer support. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions Statement(s) Strategic Planning and Vision Define future state technology road map and make recommendations to ensure effective investments are made to enable scale, quality, maintenance and overall cost. Collaborate with senior leadership and business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and develop the business case for EDI and integration initiatives that support business growth and efficiency. Stay current on industry trends, the use of emerging technologies and best practices in EDI and integration to recommend innovative solutions. Lead the exploration, evaluation, selection and implementation of new tools and technologies to support our growing EDI and integration needs across both internal systems and external customer and vendor touchpoints. Leadership & Management Lead a team of skilled professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. Mentor and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. Regularly assess skills and capabilities of the team and partners in order to recommend actions for adaptation when necessary. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment. Collaborate with IT peers to implement robust architecture and governance frameworks to guarantee stability, security, and compliance. Budget and manage financial plans as directed, while maintaining an awareness of industry benchmarks to serve as a basis of comparison. Engage with vendors and service providers to manage relationships, negotiate contracts and ensure service quality meets defined standards. Subject Matter Expertise and Execution Serve as the SME for EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and integration protocols (e.g., AS2, SFTP, FTPS), Architect the development and maintenance of EDI maps and integration solutions, translating business requirements into technical specifications. Manage EDI and integration project lifecycles, including roadmapping, requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and support. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Manage requirements established by trading partners and ensure our solutions can comply with business agreements. Create and maintain technical specification documents (e.g., EDI document maps, process flow diagrams, and data dictionaries.) Provide elevated support for EDI-related issues, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to resolves problems promptly and effectively. Establish and implement EDI performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization and driving continuous improvement initiatives. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role within integration and/or EDI management, preferably in retail and manufacturing environments. Strong proficiency in EDI mapping and integration tools (e.g., TrueCommerce, IBM, Sterling B2B Integrator, Gentran, Mulesoft, Boomi, AZURE, Cleo Highjump). In-depth knowledge of EDI Standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and integration protocols (e.g., AS2, SFTP, FTPS). Hands on experience with ERP Systems (e.g., JDEdwards or similar) and their integration with EDI platforms. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans while managing day-to-day operations. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. A proactive, service-oriented approach with a commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The annual salary for this role based in Chicago is $135,000 to $140,000. The annual salary for this role based in Wilmington, OH is $120,000 to $125,000. The annual salary for this role based in Scranton, PA is $115,000 to $120,000.
