Department Overview: The MDA Information Technology (IT) Department consists of the following four areas reporting to the Vice President of Technology: Third Party Services - outsourced Help Desk and Managed Services; cybersecurity (this would be the area of responsibility of the candidate) Platforms and Integration - Development and maintenance of SAAS business applications and data integration Data - responsible for data governance, data quality, and information evaluation for the organization Innovation - strategic partnership with MDA administration to identify technology and data initiatives that further the organization's strategic goals. The IT Department serves all business areas across Mission, Development, Philanthropy and Support Functions teams. Position Description: The dynamic role of the Senior Specialist Data Analyst will work to serve the support of data quality and visualization needs enterprise-wide. Working with the Director of Analytics and other department heads, the detail-minded Senior Specialist Data Analyst will drive data initiatives across various platforms and technologies. What you'll do: Support the management of report requests from across the organization. Evaluate requested information and pull data reports to fulfill internal stakeholder needs. Assist in maintaining and updating records on all MDA platforms (e.g., Salesforce). Provide training support to non-technical departments in relation to new and changing functionality and data standards. Use expert evaluation and storytelling to prepare meaningful data visualizations: content for reports, meetings and presentations. Maintain MDA Data Policy practices and update any data analytics procedure or process to ensure compliance - with guidance from Director of Analytics. Ability to work separately on projects and be backup for the Director of Analytics as needed. Other duties as assigned Salary Range: This position's salary range is $70,000 - $80,000. Final offer amounts and levels are set by multiple factors, including your experience, and may vary from the amounts listed above. What we are looking for: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) is required. Degree in data analytics, informatics, etc. Is preferred. Must possess data communication and reporting, customer service, and project management skills. 2-3 years experience with CRMs, life science databases, or similar platforms. Salesforce and Tableau knowledge are a plus. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is a must. 1-2 years of coding experience in Python preferred. Python basics is required. Experience entering and maintaining data. Outstanding organization and verbal/written communication skill set is a must. Ability to identify, prioritize, and solve problems quickly.
